The Saanich Peninsula Hospital Gift Shop is run entirely by Auxiliary Volunteers. We have no paid staff.
It takes over 40 volunteers to manage and staff the Gift Shop. The collective value of our volunteer time required to run the shop, if paid at minimum wage, is over $100,000 per year.
All profits from the Gift Shop are used to fund items and services directly related to the care and comfort of hospital patients and residents.
