COVID-19 HAS NOT STOPPED US FROM FINDING CREATIVE WAYS TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE AUXILIARY

The Auxiliary members continue to work hard to find creative ways to raise funds for the Hospital. Our ‘Crafty Crew’ members continue to meet to sew and knit beautiful items and several Auxiliary members have been busy making jams and jellies – all for future sales. On November 14 and 15, 2020, the Crafty Crew held a “Craft Crawl” with all of their finest works on display. That venture raised $2,921.40 for the Auxiliary.
A 1-week “Pop-up Shop” in August in Sidney raised almost $20,000 for the Auxiliary. If anyone knows of another venue that could be donated to us for another “Pop-up Shop,” we would love to hear from you.
Five Auxiliary members participated in a Foundation Scavenger Hunt. The “Auxiliary Artillery” was the highest earning team and they raised more than $3,000 to put towards the purchase of new hospital beds in the Extended Care Units.
We are always happy to receive monetary donations and other gently used items (small collectibles only at this time as we have run out of storage space). Please call the Ways & Means Convenor @ 250-544-7676 (ext. 23400) to arrange delivery or pick up. See “Ways to Donate” on this website to see all of the ways to donate.
Bursaries will still be awarded to two deserving candidates in December. The Auxiliary will notify the winners and their photos and names will be posed on this website.
