New Purchases for the Hospital Approved

On May 9, our members approved to supply funding for many different items to be used for the care and comfort of hospital patients and residents. Many of these items are replacements for worn out equipment and others that no longer meet current sanitation requirements. Total cost will be just over $47,000.00. Here’s the list:

  • A Welch-Allyn Barcode Scanner for biomedical maintenance;
  • Five Vital Signs Monitors with stands;
  • Outdoor furniture and other items for the patient and resident gardens;
  • A three-seater, armless “Jenny Seating” sofa for the staff room;
  • Screen, projector and microphone for the chapel;
  • Built-in hairdryers for the hairdressing room and a portable, adjustable sink for the hairdressing room for wheelchair use
  • Sling and commode replacements
  • Cabinets for tub rooms, lockable, to store patients’ individual items
  • Pocket talkers for the nurses (to communicate quickly during urgent situations)
  • Warming blankets
