At our September Member Meeting , we approved the funding of $50,160.88 towards the purchase of 10 hand pieces compatible with the new cataract surgery console used at Saanich Peninsula Hospital. This allows the surgical team to run more day surgeries each day without having to stop to sterilize exiting equipment. This reduces the overall wait time for everyone requiring cataract surgery on the Peninsula.
