Every year, the Auxiliary grants two bursaries of $2,500 each to deserving students in healthcare fields to put toward their education. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF OUR PAST WINNERS!
Applications for our 2025 bursaries will be accepted in the fall of 2025. To find out if you qualify for our bursary and apply please review the criteria and application forms below.

2024 Bursary Winners

Sarah Arendt
Sarah is studying to obtain a BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) and is presently in 1st year of a 4 year program. Her first 2 years of study are at at Camosun College after which she finishes the program at the University of Victoria.
Sarah’s goal is to become a Paediatric nurse specializing in Neonatal or paediatric Intensive care. This has always been Sarah’s passion for a long time and we are proud to be able to contribute to her studies to achieve it.
Jozsef (Joey) Oakland Halasz
Joey is in his first year of study in a two year program for Medical Radiology (Medical Imaging) at Camosun College.
He has a strong desire to help others and his studies are a way to help a lot of different people in need.
His work experience at Saanich Peninsula Hospital led him to further volunteer and employment at our hospital. He hopes to return to work at SPH when he has finished his studies.
